Today was my last day of work before we head out cruising. It's been a long time coming, a three year plan that remained three years away for many years. But as of today, we've moved from dreaming about cruising someday to getting ready to head out.

What's next? This has been such a weird year; we've been living on land in Maine since the beginning of the pandemic. So the next step is to get the boat ready to move back aboard, clean and paint the hull, and work through a long list of projects to get her ready for extended cruising.

After that, we plan to spend the summer exploring Maine, and aim to head south in the fall when the weather turns chilly.
